Oregon Senior Community Donates To Veterans Group

This year the Prestige Senior Living High Desert Community, in Bend, Oregon, decided to hold their annual fundraiser to help support Civil Air Patrol High Desert Squadron.

Their goal was to help the squadron place a wreath on every veterans’ grave during the Wreaths Across America ceremony in Deschutes Memorial Garden on December 12.

The center raised enough money to purchase 10 wreaths.

The effort was coordinated by Tiffany Schwarm, Prestige Senior Community Relations Director . She presented the check to 1st Lt Kennedy who happily accepted the donation on behalf of the High Desert Squadron.

Afterwards, 1st Lt Kennedy was able to meet with many of the facility’s residents and talk about their own military service and about Civil Air Patrol.
