Cape Cod Senior Care Kicks Off “Be A Santa To A Senior” Program

Monday marks the beginning of the “Be A Santa To A Senior” program in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

The program was started 12 years ago by the Home Instead Senior Care Office of the area and is responsible for collecting and delivering over 2,500 gifts to seniors during the holiday season.

Local area businesses host Christmas trees containing ornaments.  Each ornament contains an gift request or suggestion.  Customers who select an ornament provide the gift and then they are distributed to area seniors.

Through this program, we are able to show them that (seniors) are valuable members of our community and that people still care.

The Christmas trees will be placed at local retailers starting November 9 and be available until December 9, and the ornaments will have the names of seniors with their specific gift requests.
